A School Crest for Everyone to be Proud of.

A School Crest for Everyone to be Proud of.
St Fergal's School Crest

Wednesday, January 02, 2008

The road to our school crest started at the beginning of the year when we learned about Rights and Responsibilities in our SPHE lesson. Later on in the year our teacher asked us to design a new school crest which would signal we are a welcoming school. Everyone designed an individual school crest, then we went into groups and discussed the crest which later on formed our big crest. The class crest displayed the Koran and the Bible to show we welcome all religions. “Hello” in different languages is displayed all over the crest to show we welcome people from all over the world. A black person and a white person illustrate that we welcome people of all races and a person in a wheelchair demonstrates that we have the facilities for and greet people of different abilities.
We are very proud of our crest and are glad we won the competition.
