Lift Off
This week we are learning about human rights. I have learned that a lot of people don’t get an education there is 750 million people who don’t get an education and I think they should because they have rights as well. I think they should have a job when they grow up.

Rights and Responsibilities
This week in school I have learnt so far that everyone is entitled to an Education, Health/Wealth and Care.
I have also learnt that everyone is entitled to freedom of Speech and to play.
In my class we all agree that the most important right that everyone is entitled to is, a loving Family.
My responsibilities in school are to listen to my teacher, to be nice to me friends and other people who are in the playground.
My responsibilities at home are to listen to my parents and to be a good girl.
That’s why rights and responsibilities are so important to everyone because they make the world a happy place.

Human Rights and Responsibilities
Every child has rights and responsibilities. One of these rights is the right to an education. 750 million people do not have an education and the government promised by 2015 that every child would get a free education. One of the other rights is the right to play. This right is very important because every child has the right to play and playing is good exercise for you. The right to speak is good because you need to speak out sometimes. When you need something you speak out. If you didn’t get health, wealth and care you would die. You also have the right to a family to love and care for you.

Rights
This week was human rights week.
I have learned a lot about rights.
There is a lot of rights, like the right to play, the right to an education, the rights to life, the right to a name the right to a family, the right to a nationality, the right to be treated like the way you would treat others etc.
It was fun learning about human rights but it is a serious subject.

HUMAN RIGHTS
Human rights are important because with out them children would be suffering right now. The right to an education is very important because if a child does not go to school he or she will not get a good job or he or she will not make any money and if he or she will not be able to buy food for their family. Also the right to health wealth and care is very important because if a child has no health the child will die and if you have no wealth you will lose your house and end up living on the streets and if you have no care you will lose house and die. Every child has a right to a childhood and to be forces to be a soldier and not to work as a slave or be bossed around. Every child has a right to a name and nationality and not to be called a bad nickname. Children have the right to play to exercise our body. I wonder what would the world be like right now if there was not rights and responsibilities?

Why Human Rights Are Important
I learned that human rights are very good because without them we would be treated very unfairly. That is why human rights are good for the world. The right to an education is very important, that is how we get a good job. 750 million cannot read or write because they didn’t get their right to education. The right to play is also very important because if you don’t exercise you would become fat and unhealthy.

Rights
This week is human rights week in our school. I learned that human rights are very important.
Harry Foley,
2nd class
This week we learned about human rights. There are lots of different rights. We got a sheet that said all the Rights of the World. We had to pick our top 5 rights. Human Rights are good because people get treated fairly. Governments promised to give kids a free education but they broke their promise. We learned that 750 million people cannot read or write in the world.

Human Rights and Responsibilities
Everyone in the world has a right to clean water. The people who live on the streets have a right to a family but people whose parents have died, they would go tot a relative but if they don’t take them they go to the orphanage.
